Howard
University’s Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library is housing “The
Future is Now! African Americans in Dentistry” exhibit now until
May 15, 2006.
Created by
the Baltimore-based Dr. Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry
(NMD), the exhibit showcases four Howard University alumni as
“Hometown Heroes.” They are Dr. Arnett A. Anderson, Class of 1962;
Dr. Victor L. Hancock, Class of 1960; Dr. Frank L. Shuford, Class
of 1953; and Dr. Eddie G. Smith, Class of 1959.
“We are proud
to host the fifth leg of this important national tour, especially
during the 125th anniversary of Howard’s College of Dentistry,”
