EPA Administrator Serves as Keynote at CEACS Student Leadership Institute

WASHINGTON (March 2, 2010) – Administrator Lisa P. Jackson of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will deliver the keynote “Leadership Today, Tomorrow: Meeting the Needs of the Global Community.” at the College of Engineering, Architecture and Computer Sciences (CEACS) Student Leadership Institute Lecture at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 5 in the Mackey Building's Hilyard R. & Helena Robinson Auditorium (School of Architecture).
Administrator Jackson will speak about her priorities and innovative environmentalism of the 21st century. At the helm of the EPA, Jackson’s leadership spans across the nation with a professional staff of 17,000 assisting her with managing threats and protecting the environment.
The lecture is designed for CEACS students and the Howard community to learn from professionals in various industries to discuss their career paths and experiences with a focus on leadership.
The Student Leadership Institute aims to foster the leadership abilities of students, providing them with the necessary foundation to becoming effective leaders, and to encourage them to strive for exceptional achievements. The event is open to the university community.
