Rajmohan Gandhi to Deliver Lecture at Howard
WASHINGTON (June 2, 2010) – Renowned Professor Rajmohan Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, will lecture on Building Trust across the World’s Divides at the historic Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel at 3 p.m. on June 10.
Gandhi is a research professor at the Center for South Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has taught history and political science. His lecture will address lessons learned from the work and teachings of his grandfather Mahatma Gandhi, Howard Thurman, and Martin Luther King Jr.
The College of Arts and Sciences, Ralph J. Bunche International Affairs Center and Rankin Chapel will host the lecture. It is free and open to the public. A book signing will follow the lecture.
