Van Jones, Environmental Advocate, Will Speak to Freshman Class

WHAT: Van Jones, an environmental advocate and civil rights activist, will speak to the freshman class about green careers in Cramton Auditorium at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 19. Jones, a co-founder of three non-profit organizations, will stress the importance of students thinking green and advocating for green industries. He previously served as President Barack Obama’s special advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality

WHO: Van Jones is an American environmental advocate, civil rights activist, and attorney from Yale Law School. Jones is a co-founder of three non-profit organizations, Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Color of Change and Green for All.
