Sponsored by the Carnegie Corporation of New York, a request for proposals for two new internal faculty Howard University $15,000 grants will be announced.

This event is open to all Howard University faculty. Light refreshments will be provided.

This event aims to extend the research of the symposium, The Health Discussion: People, Environment and Policy, that was held at Howard University in April 2010, sponsored by this Carnegie grant initiative.

The Initiative on Democracy, Markets, Communication and Technology facilitates the study of today’s complex national and global issues. Using a distinctly interdisciplinary approach, the initiative specifically focuses on underserved and underrepresented communities. This research support aims to strengthen the University’s ties to the American and global communities through service and leadership.
