aims to extend the research
of the symposium, The Health
Discussion: People, Environment
and Policy, that was held
at Howard University in April
2010, sponsored by this Carnegie
grant initiative.
The Initiative
on Democracy, Markets, Communication
and Technology facilitates
the study of today’s
complex national and global
issues. Using a distinctly
interdisciplinary approach,
the initiative specifically
focuses on underserved and
underrepresented communities.
This research support aims
to strengthen the University’s
ties to the American and global
communities through service
and leadership.
