Law Graduate Named To Maryland
Judge Posts
WASHINGTON
(September 27, 2010) –
Howard University Law
School graduate Sheila R.
Tillerson Adams has been named
to two top judicial posts
in Maryland: county administrative
judge in Prince George’s
County Circuit Court and administrative
judge for the 7th Circuit,
which includes Calvert, Charles,
Prince George’s and
St. Mary’s counties.
As
county administrative judge,
Adams will supervise all judges,
officers and employees of
the Prince George’s
County Circuit Court. She
will also oversee the assigning
of judges to cases in that
county and the court’s
budget. As administrative
judge for the 7th Circuit,
Judge Adams will supervise
judges in four counties.
Adams
earned a law degree from Howard
University School of Law in
1982 after graduating from
Morgan State University in
1979. She earned a Master
of Laws degree in taxation
from Georgetown University
Law Center in 1987. In 1993,
Adams was named judge of the
District Court of Maryland
in 1993.
