Commerce Secretary to discuss business innovation at Howard University
National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hosts Public Meeting

WASHINGTON (June 6, 2011) – U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and business leaders who make up the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE) will hold a public meeting at Howard University on June 14.

The Council, created last year, supports President Obama’s innovation strategy by helping to develop policies that foster entrepreneurship. The meeting of the Council will feature briefings by experts, discuss updates from subcommittees and include a question-and-answer period with the audience.

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are required to present tickets. Tickets are currently available at the Cramton Box Office, 2455 Sixth Street NW, from noon – 5 p.m until June 13.
