– While
many college
students choose
to vacation
during their
Spring Break,
the Howard
Gospel Choir
will travel
to five cities
for a tour
titled the
'Release’
from March
11 to March
20. The choir
will perform
in Indianapolis,
Chicago, Grand
Rapids, Mich,
Detroit and
Atlanta.
“This
is a very
exciting
time of
year for
the choir,”
Ray Bramble,
business
manager
of the Howard
Gospel Choir
said. “We
are excited
for the
opportunity
to minister
in the cities
that we
will visit.
The Howard
Gospel Choir
was founded
in 1968
on the campus
of Howard
University.
The award-winning
ensemble
has sought
to excel
in the music
ministry
for over
four decades
and most
recently
headlined
tours in
Denmark
and Sweden.
Alumni
of the Howard
Gospel Choir
include
Grammy Award
winner Richard
Smallwood
and Elberta
“Twinkie”
Clark of
the legendary
Clark Sisters
gospel group.
The choir
is currently
under the
music direction
of Clifton
Ross III
of BET’s
Sunday Best. |
