WASHINGTON (April 1) -- Howard University was ranked number 32 among the top 100 social media colleges in the nation, according to StudentAdvisor.com.
The publication said that it compared more than 6,000 colleges and universities and post-secondary schools "in terms of their mastery of public social media methods, tools and websites." Harvard University, where Facebook was born, placed first.
“This is great news,” said Victoria Kirby, social media coordinator for Howard’s Office of University Communications. “Howard alumni, students and their parents have really embraced social media as a way to engage with the University and each other. It has developed into a real community where people meet, exchange ideas and rediscover old friends.”
