Heat is On for Howard, Morehouse, Spelman NFC Fundraising Challenge

WASHINGTON (August 17, 2011) –Things are beginning to heat up as Howard University , Morehouse College  and Spelman College have entered into friendly competition to see which institution can raise the most money during the “run-up” to the historic AT&T Nation’s Football Classic. The winning institution will not only have bragging rights, but will help in promoting excellence in education at its institution.

Howard students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends can join the competition and help Howard win the contest by simply clicking here.  Donors will still be able to designate which programs or departments they want their contribution to assist.  The money does not go to the NFC or any game-related activities.

No amount is too small, so let your bison pride shine by supporting Howard!

While both schools are ramping up for the September 10 game at RFK Stadium in Washington, the clash between two of the nation’s most storied educational institutions is much more than a football game.

A series of events will be taking place at Howard and in Washington as part of the celebration from Thursday, Sept. 8, through Sunday, Sept. 11. They include a six-hour symposium on black males, a five-hour recruitment fair at the Washington Convention Center, a student debate between students from the two schools and a health fair at RFK Stadium before the game. All events are free to the general public, except for the football game.
