WASHINGTON (October 11, 2011) –The Power Summit is a new initiative dedicated to preparing Howard University students to become future leaders on the national and global stage. A panel discussion with leaders from the fields of education, entertainment, professional sports, and politics will provide students with tips for achieving leadership skills, success, and empowerment. The event will take place Tuesday, Oct.18, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the ballroom of the Armor J. Blackburn Center.
Guest speakers include Sonia Norwood from the reality show Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business, ESPN analyst and radio host Stephen A. Smith, MSNBC political and legal analyst Michelle Bernard, and Yuvay Meyers, Ph.D., Howard University assistant professor of marketing
