Trustee Cornell Leverette Moore, Esq., Honored as Distinguished Alumnus of HU Law School
 
Cornell Leverette Moore, Esq.
WASHINGTON (July 9, 2012) – The Howard University Law Alumni Association will honor Cornell Leverette Moore, Esq., with the distinguished alumnus award for his unparalleled work in the field at the Association's Annual Meeting on Wednesday, July 18 during the National Bar Association Conference in Las Vegas, NV.

Moore (J.D. ’64), member of the Howard University Board of Trustees, has served as a General Trustee since 2000 and a former Alumni Trustee from 1992 to 1998. He is a Partner in the law firm of Dorsey & Whitney, LLP, in Minneapolis, Minn. A passionate supporter of affordable housing, he is a former chair of the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority, and a board member for more than 25 years of the Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation.

He received an A.B. degree from Virginia Union University and a J.D. degree from the Howard University School of Law. He has received the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and was inducted into the National Bar Association Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the Northern Star Council of the Boy Scouts of America and Chair of its corporate capital campaign. See biography.
