WASHINGTON (August 20, 2012) - Howard University’s Homecoming, “LEGENDARY: The Essence of Icons,” will be held October 17 – 21. In its 88th year, the Howard University Homecoming has been a staple in the community and serves as an entertaining cultural celebration.
“LEGENDARY” will consist of the traditional events, which are the R&B Concert, Fashion Show, International Yardfest, Parade, and Greek Step Show. This year’s homecoming celebration will also feature a free inspirational auxiliary event called “Dream Day,” where successful young celebrities, community leaders, entrepreneurs, and social activists gather with students to share the story behind their success. The celebration will also conclude with the Gospel Show. |
The Homecoming Steering Committee will also be featured in the upcoming web series “I AM LEGENDARY.” This series will function as the continuance of last year’s "Grind To Prestige" which featured the trials and triumphs of the journey to planning Howard’s famed homecoming celebration. The show will air on TheHUreaction.com.
