 Howard MBA Exclusive Business Conference to Feature

WASHINGTON (October 16, 2013) – Frank Savage, alumnus, acclaimed investment executive and chairman emeritus of the Howard University Board of Trustees, will serve as the keynote speaker of the 18th Annual MBA Exclusive (MBAX) Business Conference Kick-Off Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 18, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel, 999 Ninth Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. 

Savage’s memoir titled, The Savage Way: Successfully Navigating the Waves of Business and Life, amplifies this year’s MBAX theme “Stairway to Success.” Savage (B.A. ’62) has had a long career in international banking, corporate finance, and global investment management.

Since 1996, the Howard University School of Business has sponsored MBA Exclusive as a signature event. The conference provides corporate partners with access to a pool of talented MBA and graduate students while increasing the visibility of the corporations among students, faculty and staff at Howard University.

Companies that will be on-site seeking candidates for internships and full-time employment include: LMI, FMC Technologies, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Nationwide, Chick-fil-A, Northwestern Mutual, Eaton, United Technologies, Volkswagen, Home Depot, and Life Technologies

The two-day MBAX conference is designed to build relationships between America’s leading corporations and the Howard University MBA program and as a showcase for skills and talents of Howard students. The corporate-sponsored event features a career fair, on-site interviews, corporate-sponsored breakfasts, luncheons, evening receptions, panel discussions, workshops and a National Minority Case Competition.

In addition, a panel discussion will feature entrepreneurs who have succeeded in the financial services and e-commerce industries, to name a few. Boeing Co. will host a workshop entitled “Preparing For the Corporate World.”
