January 13, 2010 Dear Howard University Community: Our thoughts and sincere concerns are extended to the many victims and families of Tuesday’s devastating earthquake in Haiti. We especially embrace those members of the Howard University family who are from Haiti or who have relatives and friends there. No doubt, Haiti faces a tough recovery ahead, but we at Howard feel a kinship and stand ready to assist. As our University family gathers to pray for those who lost lives, were injured or have been left homeless by this tragic event, we urge all in our community to reach out and support in whatever way possible. Our individual and collective efforts can make a difference. Sincerely, Sidney A. Ribeau
