The Howard University Service Center, home to over 500 University employees, will undergo an ’Extreme Makeover’ due for completion this December. The various functions housed in the HUSC include: finance, strategic sourcing, treasury, public safety, human resources, physical facilities management, and Capital Asset Development.
Under the guidance of architects Philip S. Cooper & Associates, renovations will include:

- Reconfiguration of floor plans for several departments
- Expanding and upgrading the cafeteria
- Renovation of locker rooms.
Upgrades and changes to the Service Center will also include bringing the building into compliance with the American Disabilities Act. Garage improvements, upgraded lighting, and new roofs for both the garage and Service Center will round out the renovations.
