Carolyn M. King
Ms. Carolyn M. King earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and Economics from the American University in Cairo, Egypt, after transferring from the University of California in Berkeley. She has lived, worked and traveled in Nairobi, Kenya, Cairo, Egypt, and Abidjan, Ivory Coast extensively. She wrote and published a Bi-weekly American Embassy Community Newsletter for the Diplomatic Community in Abidjan as the Community Liaison Officer (CLO). Further accomplishments include, teaching English as a second language at the Academy International School in Cote d' I I''voire and managing the American Recreational Club for the American Embassy in Abidjan.
While she has lived and traveled in Francophone, Anglophone and other Arabic speaking countries for over 15 years, she continues to enjoy working with diverse cultures and people with various language backgrounds. Ms. King is presently working as the Internship Coordinator for the Patricia Roberts Harris Public Affairs Program as well as the Web Manager for the PRHarris Program and The Ralph J. Bunch International Affairs Center at Howard University.
