The
Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program
A
native of Washington, D.C. and a product of D.C. Public Schools. An alumnus of
Howard University. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and
Masters in Communication & Culture. Upon
graduation she joined the staff of the United States House of Representatives
working as Staff Assistant and Legislative Correspondent for the Congressional
Offices of Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee (D-TX) and Congressman (now
Senator) Robert Menendez (D-NJ)
After serving on Capitol Hill, Kamilah moved to local politics where she worked
with Mayor Anthony Williams as part of his new Neighborhood Services Initiative.
She later became Special Assistant for Mayor Williams' "Do the Write
Thing" re-election campaign.
Kamilah,
has returned to her alma mater, as Program Assistant for the Charles B. Rangel
International Affairs Program. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Health
Communication.
