Kitchiner, Programs
Manager
Ms. Kitchiner, a Howard graduate herself returned to the
University after serving as interim Afghanistan Action Officer in
the Bureau of International Organization Affairs at the Department
of State, where she co-authored proposed UN Security Council
Resolutions, drafted proposed U.S foreign policy, and monitored
UN trust fund contributions in an effort to bring peace and
stability to Afghanistan in the Post 9-11 era.
Prior to her stint at the State Department, Ms.
Kitchiner coordinated projects and communications as Regional
Manager to Peppers and Rogers Consulting Firm. She has also provided
professional expertise to the American Bar Association and BellSouth
Corporation’s governmental affairs office.
A native of
San Francisco
, Ms. Kitchiner brings several years of broad ranging
experience to the
Howard
University
community. She holds undergraduate degrees in English
Literature and Political Science; a Master’s in Transatlantic
Security and Global Economics; and certificates of honor from
Georgetown Law Center, Duke University, Alexander von Humboldt
University in Berlin and the Institut D’ Etudes Politiques
(Sciences Po) in France.
