Associate Professor and Associate Dean of the School

dwoods@howard.edu

Teaches courses in phonetics, communication theory and social and cultural aspects of language. Since his two years as a Fulbright lecturer in Central Africa, his research has described the ways ethnic languages, national languages, and French are used in the dynamics of Congolese families, markets and government.
