WORKSHOPS

"GREAT MOVIE SCRIPT IDEAS: From Concept to the First Ten  Pages"
Do you have a great idea for a film, but you don't know what to do next? If so, Howard University's Department of Radio, Television and Film in Washington, DC invites you to attend a special professional screen writing workshop designed to help you transform your ideas into the first 10 compelling pages of a feature length movie script.

The workshop, "Great Movie Script Ideas: From Concept to the First 10-Pages," will be held March 28-29, 2008.  HU Alum & Hollywood film and TV screenwriter, Kenneth Rance will conduct the sessions.  Rance's upcoming romantic comedy, Chilled in Miami (starring Renee Zellweger, Harry Connick Jr. & Rashida Jones) is scheduled for release in movie theaters everywhere in 2009.

The workshops are two (2) sessions held on Friday, March 28th from 6:30am to 9:30pm and Saturday, March 29th from 10:00am to 5:00pm.  The workshop is designed for aspiring screenwriters as well as for experienced writers who want to further develop and/or improve their ability to turn an interesting story into a dramatic film script.
