OFFICE OF SPECIAL PROJECTS

The mission of the Office of Special Projects in the John H. Johnson School of Communications is to spearhead initiatives aimed at strengthening relationships with alumni and to provide support for programs within the School through:

  • Planning, coordinating and executing special events and receptions for alumni and friends.
  • Reconnecting alumni with their department or interest within the School.
  • Assisting the Dean with fundraising and development activities.
  • Providing editorial, public relations and marketing services including the alumni e-newsletter
  • Working with faculty and staff to communicate the JHJSOC vision to internal and external constituencies.

Current Projects

The Volunteer Alumni Leadership Committee in support of the John H. Johnson School of Communications Building Fund. This program is aimed at increasing alumni giving and reconnecting alumni with the School’s vision.

Regional Focus

Special Projects, in close coordination with development, establishes relationships and promotes loyalty to the School and its efforts through regional activities.
