34th Annual Charles H. Thompson Lecture features Dr. Ronald F. Ferguson

Lecture-Colloquium Committee is extremely pleased to invite you to the 34th Annual Charles H. Thompson Lecture, on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at 5:00pm, in the West Ballroom of the Blackburn Center. This year's keynote speaker is Dr. Ronald F. Ferguson, professor and co-chair and director of the Pathways to Prosperity Project at the Harvard University School of Education. In addition, he is a Senior Lecturer in Education and Policy at the graduate School of Education at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a senior research associate with the Wiener Center for Social Policy.
The title of Dr. Ferguson's lecture is "Elements of a 21st Century Movement for Excellence with Equity." His most recent book is Toward Excellence with Equity: An Emerging Vision for Closing the Achievement Gap.
There will be a question and answer period after the lecture, followed by a reception with Dr. Ferguson in the Gallery Lounge.
