Scholarships & Fellowships
The Howard University School of Education (HUSOE) offers several scholarships through each of its three departments. If you meet the scholarship criteria, talk to your advisor or department chair for more information.

| Ruth Lyons White Scholarship | Must have at least a 2.7 GPA (graduate students) or 2.5 GPA (undergraduate students) Must be a full-time student in good academic standing Must submit a 250 word essay explaining desire to become a PK-12 teacher Must provide evidence of service to urban school communities Must be interview by the Dean |

| Trustee Scholarship | Must be enrolled in coursework not including Internship, Practicum, Thesis or Dissertation credits Must not be working full-time on or off campus Must be enrolled as full-time students Must have at least a 3.5(graduate)/ 3.2(undergraduate) GPA based on full-time enrollment for the prior academic year (12 cr. minimum will not include credits from courses in the CAR) Must show evidence of high academic achievement Must be nominated by a Departmental Chairperson Must show exemplary service record in the School of Education Must be ranked in the top ten percent of their class Transfer students must have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA and at least 15 approved transfer credit hours |
