Application Process
The Counseling Psychology Program faculty would like to thank you for your interest in the doctoral program. In order to apply to the Program, you must first go to the Graduate School website Graduate School Application On-line (PhD) to either complete an on-line application and signature page or download the paper application. In general, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale is preferred, and a cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or above in your master’s program is preferred.
A complete application includes:
a) Graduate School application
b) non-refundable $45 application fee
c) official transcripts from ALL undergraduate and graduate colleges and universities attended (official transcripts must be submitted directly from the Registrar's Office in a sealed envelope),
d) Graduate Record Exam scores (verbal and quantitative)
e) statement of academic and research interest
f) autobiographical sketch
g) curriculum vita
h) three letters of recommendation

The Program admits students for the fall semester of each academic year. Application packets are reviewed when they are complete.
