Grammy Award Winning Singer, Will Downing signs and discusses "Unveiled Series 1: Photography by Will Downing and Fine Art by New and Emerging African American Artists"
WASHINGTON, DC (April 20, 2006) – The much anticipated book by singer and photographer, Will Downing is now available at the Howard University Bookstore. In celebration of Howard University's 2006 Commencement, the Howard University Bookstore will host Mr. Downing as he signs and discusses this new release, “Unveiled”, Friday, May 12, 2006 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
For those who didn't know, Will Downing is also a photographer who has captured the images of his contemporaries, such as Al Jarreau, Chaka Khan, and Jill Scott to name a few. "Unveiled" is a compilation of over 9 years of work as well as a showcase for the creations of 7 up and coming artists.
About Will Downing
Will Downing has been entertaining sophisticated soul fans with his sensual baritone voice for over 16 years. He has been recognized by the Grammy Awards and the NAACP Image Awards for his excellence on the stage and in the studio and has been embraced by radio stations across the R&B, Smooth Jazz, and Adult Contemporary dial. He is also noted for his duets with noted singers, Chante Moore, Rachelle Farrell, and Mica Paris. Mr. Downing was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and currently resides in New Jersey with his loving and supportive family.
