Death Resolutions are issued through the Office of the Secretary for deceased members of the Howard University family, friends, dignitaries, and others as specifically defined.

Upon appropriate notification and/or request, it is the policy of the Office of the Secretary to produce and deliver a death resolution attested to by the Secretary of the Board of Trustees for the following categories of persons: 

Howard University Family
Employees Alumni
Students Trustees
Former Employees Dignitaries
 
Family Members of Employees,Trustees, and Former Trustees 
(as listed below)
Mothers Fathers
Spouses Children
 
Friends of the University
Important Relationships Donors
