Castell Abner IIIUndergraduate Student Trustee School of Business Castell Abner, III, a member since 2013, serves as Undergraduate Student Trustee. A senior in the Howard University School of Business, his major is accounting. He is a member of the Howard Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is one of only a few students selected to represent Howard in Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities. In the spring of 2012, he was initiated into the Howard University Chapter (Xi) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and was immediately elected as the Polemarch for Xi Chapter. He was Mr. Freshman 2010-2011, and a member of and pianist for the Howard University Gospel Choir. In 2011, he was awarded the John P. Murchison Scholarship and won First Place in the School of Business Center for Insurance Education Summer Intern Case Study Competition. During the summers of his freshman and sophomore years, he interned at Morgan Stanley. This past summer, he interned at Turner Construction Company, and is maintaining employment throughout his senior year. He is a volunteer music teacher for preschool/kindergarten students at Shiloh Development Academy, and volunteers for EPA's Annual Anacostia River Cleanup. Born and raised in Chester, Pennsylvania, he is a product of the neighboring Brandywine School District, located in Wilmington, Delaware. Upon graduating from Howard in the spring of 2014, he plans to attend law school, and complete his JD/MBA, before sitting for both the Bar and CPA Exams. |
