Biography

Norman K. Jenkins, a member since 2012, is founder and President of Capstone Development, LLC, an owner and developer of hotels and other classes of investment grade commercial real estate. Capstone has two affiliate businesses--Capstone Management Services, which operates third party and company-owned hotels, and Capstone Procurement, a full service procurement services firm. After a distinguished 20-year career, the hospitality and finance executive launched the Capstone Companies.

Prior to Capstone, he was Senior Vice President, North American Lodging Development and a Corporate Officer of Marriott International, Inc. where he led complex development projects including real estate acquisition, entitlements, project capitalization, and branding. Other roles at Marriott included Audit Manager; Tax Director; Finance Director-Business Development; Finance Director-Mergers & Acquisitions; Chief Financial Officer - Ramada International; Vice President Global Operations - Ramada International; and Vice President-Owner and Franchise Services. Prior to joining Marriott in 1992, he held finance and operating roles with McDonald’s Corporation.

He was the 21^st National President and CEO of The National Association of Black Accountants and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University, an MBA from George Washington University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Council and serves on Board of Visitors of the Howard University School of Business, Suburban Hospital Board of Trustees, The Washington DC Developer Roundtable, and the International Franchise Association Diversity Institute.
