Liliane BedfordGraduate Student Trustee School of Law Liliane Bedford, a member since 2013, serves as Graduate Student Trustee. She is currently a third-year law student at the Howard University School of Law. She is a member of the executive board of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA), the American Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association, and an active participant as a student lawyer in the Child Welfare Clinic of the Howard University Clinical Law Center. She has worked as a summer law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, as a health policy fellow at the Health and Medicine Counsel of Washington, and most recently as a legislative legal intern for the Committee on Health for the Council of the District of Columbia. She graduated from the Howard University School of Business, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She was a member of the School of Business Executive Leadership Honors Program as well as an elected School of Business representative for the Undergraduate Student Assembly (UGSA). She was an active member of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, Inc. and Alpha Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her commitment to community service was demonstrated as a dedicated member of Circle K International and as a mentor at the Cesar Chavez Public Charter School, and a volunteer at the Howard University Middle School of Mathematics and Science. She looks forward to using the skills she has gained at Howard when she begins her legal career and hopes to build a worthy legacy. |
