![]() A top-ranked
HBCU, Howard University has a critically important role in providing
Black students a rigorous, nurturing education and producing this nation's
next generation of leaders. Howard's core mission -- to graduate distinguished,
historically aware, and compassionate students eager and able to solve
problems in the U.S. and throughout the world -- is remarkably similar
to the University of Delaware's. I hope my service on Howard's board
helps both institutions faithfully deliver on this promise.
