URE: Undergraduate Researchers (Juniors and Seniors)
The Undergraduate Research Experience is a rewarding and intense research program designed for junior and senior Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) majors. The primary goal of the undergraduate research experience is to develop talented underrepresented researchers who are highly skilled, knowledgeable and strong competitors for graduate-level study. HUSEM student researchers work alongside faculty mentors and graduate students conducting cutting-edge research. The HUSEM staff works in conjunction with faculty mentors to ensure an appropriate and meaningful research experience. Additionally, HUSEM student researchers, with the assistance of their mentors, are required to participate in a myriad of seminars, forums, roundtable discussions and research symposia.
