This service corps program places Howard students in
Seniors’ Service agencies where information technology
is used to enhance the delivery of community services.
Students help reduce the isolation of low income seniors
by familiarizing them with the use of the Internet, and
by providing other services that enable them to maintain
quality independent living.

The Family and Community Resource and Research
Center represents the legacy and vision of thirteen
African American women (Baker’s Dozen) who sought
to address the problem of juvenile delinquency in the
Howard University
community in collaboration with Howard University's
School of Social Work. The Center provides faculty,
students, community residents and organizations
resources for research, collaborative action, the
training, and demonstrations directed toward solutions
to family and community problems.
