The Howard University Counseling Service (HUCS) offers a full range of group experiences:
- Counseling groups
- Psychotherapy groups
- Group consultation
Many of the HUCS staff members have extensive group training and/or advanced certification in group treatment. HUCS has a history of providing groups as a primary treatment modality for Howard students. We offer both time-limited and long-term psychotherapy groups. We also offer time-limited counseling groups addressing general concerns as well as time-limited counseling groups organized around central themes. Staff members are also available for group consultation.
Members and facilitators are bound by confidentiality.

Purpose: A number of the personal concerns/difficulties experienced by people seem to originate in some unresolved difficulties in relationships. The purpose of this group is to provide members a brief but intense experience to further explore and clarify their concerns regarding relationships.
