Healthcare ProfessionsHoward University is a comprehensive research institution that has a health sciences enterprise that trains many healthcare professionals. The Simulation Center is a state-of-the-art learning environment specifically designed by a multidisciplinary team to support health sciences professional education in our Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing and Allied Health. In addition, the Center provides a comprehensive simulation experience to enhance clinical and technical skills education in the Howard University Hospital's graduate medical/dental education training programs. The center allows opportunities for health sciences students to engage in interactive learning with those outside their profession as a routine part of their education. The Howard University Health Sciences enterprise is preparing all health sciences students/trainees for collaborative care with the goal of patient-centered compassionate care. The Simulation Center supports educational curricula for the following groups:

  • College of Medicine students and faculty
  • College of Dentistry students and faculty
  • College of Nursing and Allied Health students and faculty
  • College of Pharmacy students and faculty
  • School of Communications (Speech Disorders)
  • School of Social Work
