Middle School
& High School Rules - Deadline:
April 30, 2007
- Maximum team size - 3
- All team members must
be enrolled in either middle school or high school.
- Each team must have an
adult sponsor.
- Teams may submit multiple
skins. (Only 1 winning skin per team.)
- Students may be a member
of multiple teams.
- Artwork must be original.
(i.e. no celebrity images, sports logos, or company trademarks!)
Collegiate Rules
- (Past Deadline: March 27, 2007)
- Maximum team size - 3
- All team members must be enrolled at a NSBE
Chapter university/college during the winter/spring 2007 semester.
Students from any major may participate.
- At least 1 student on the team must be a NSBE
member.
- Teams may submit multiple skins. (Only 1 winning
skin per team.)
- Students may be a member of multiple teams.
- Artwork must be original. (i.e. no celebrity
images, sports logos, or company trademarks!)
Judging Criteria
- Artistry - 30%
- Visual appeal (2D vs. 3D, color/contrast, craftsmanship,
compelling design, player functionality with design, design
consistency)
- Skin features - 25%
- Progress bar, volume, equalizer, video screen,
playlist, visualizations, sound effects, close/minimize/full
mode, animations, subviews, etc.
- Technical innovation - 25%
- XML and JScript sophistication, Windows Media 9 or 10 series
features.
- User friendliness - 10%
- Theme adherence - 10%
