Banner

Banner is a web-based, administrative software application used by institutions of higher education. It provides data that allows student, faculty and staff to efficiently perform various integrated functions. Some of the services it supports include admissions and recruitment, financial aid, class registration, residence life, meal plans, academic records, student accounts, and cashiering.

Faculty & Staff: For access, documentation, and technical assistance, you can login to the Banner Homepage. This is a secure site which requires your network login credentials.

Bison Connect: AlertHU and HU Guardian

Bison Connect consists of two applications: AlertHU and HU Guardian. AlertHU is a notification program which allows the University to send time-sensitive notifications via e-mail and text messaging. HU Guardian is a personal safety program that allows members of the Howard University Community to connect with and be monitored for safety by University police (HUPD).

  • Username: 9 digit Howard University ID including ‘@‘, (Example: @12345678)
    Password: 6 digit PIN which is usually your birth date without dashes, unless you changed it already

Blackboard helps engage students and faculty in a digital classroom experience. It encourages correspondence between students and other students, as well as with faculty.

Kronos

Kronos is an automated Time Tracking and Attendance Application linked for time sharing to the PeopleSoft and Lawson ERP applications.
