1.  Select the Apple icon located on the top left of your desktop
   
2. Select Control Panel
 
a.  Select Apple Talk
b. Select Remote Only
c. Select Ok
   
3. Go back and select the Apple icon
 
a.  Select Control Panel
b. Select Dial Assist
c. City/Area Code: (202)
d. Country: United States
e. Prefix: if you are at home this box should read None
  If you are away from home this box should read: outside line-9
f. Long Distance Access: none
g. Suffix: none
h. Select box: Always dial Area Code
i. Close Dial Assist box
   
4. Go back to Apple icon
5. Select Chooser
 
a.  Select Apple Talk
b. Select Inactive
c. Close window
   
6. Go back to Apple icon
   
7. Select Control Panel
 
a.  Select TCP/IP
b. Connect via: PPP
c. Configure: Using PPP Server
d. Name server address: 138.238.156.21
  138.238.156.23
e. Search Domains: ns1.howard.edu
  ns2.howard.edu

Close TCP/IP Box

Select: SAVE - from the PROMPT WINDOW

8.  Go back to Apple icon
9. Select Control Panel
 
a.  Select Remote Access
b. Select Registered User
c. Name: for faculty: enterprise\username
  for student: accsnet\username
d. UNCHECK BOX: save password
e. Number: 2029861490 (do not include (\) slashes or (-) dashes)
f. Select Options
g. Select Connection Panel
h. Select Box: Flash icon on menu bar while connected
i. Select Box: disconnect if idle for 10 minutes
j. Select OK
k. Connect your phone jack at this time
l. Select Connect

When connected your STATUS BOX should read the following:

Connected to: connection speed
Connected to: IP address
Time connected:
Time remaining:

Send/Receive - located on the right of your STATUS BOX

Once connected - Launch your Internet Browser
