Find Your Username and E-mail via the Internet

1. 

Open your Web browser to http://www.howard.edu/.

 
2. 

At the Howard University home page, click on the Directory hyperlink below the Howard University Banner.

 
3. 

Under "Index of Directories >>", click on E-Mail Directory: Faculty, Staff and Students.

 
4. 

On the Microsoft Office Web Access page, locate Public Access in bold letters and click on "Click here".

 
5. 

On the left-hand panel, click "Find Names".

 
6. 

In the "First Name:" box type in your first name.
In the "Last Name:" box type in your last name.

Click on the "Find" button to search for your account.

 
7. 

Your username will be under the "Alias" column.

Your e-mail address is your username + @howard.edu.
Example: jsmith@howard.edu.

 

Additional Information

You must enter your Username and personal Password to Log On to the Windows 2000/XP workstations in the iLab and the ResNet computer labs in the dormitories.

The "Domain:" is "ACCSNET". You will not be able to log on if the "Domain:" name is changed or if it is incorrect.

To Log On to the Macintosh computers in the iLab double-click on the word "Student" in the User menu. The password for student users is the word "student". This password only applies to the Macintosh computers and cannot be used on the Windows 98/Windows NT workstations.
