Howard University is privileged to have available for the University community HUNet, the Univeristy’s Wide-Area Network. HUNet provides a 100 Mbps Ethernet connection to each workstation connected to the network.

As an employee of the University you may need access to some of the resources on HUNet. The ISAS Computer Access Request Form is used to request access to email, CICS which is for access to the Purchasing System and FRS and TSO for access to databases on the Mainframe.

To request an email account the applicant is required to complete the ISAS Computer Access Request Form (PDF) as follows.

Identification Section
Provide information for Applicant Status, Howard University Employee ID Number (HU ID#), Last Name, First Name, School, Dept/Unit, and Telephone.

Justification/Reason Section
Please explain any special concerns or considerations. Indicate the Expiration Date for all temporary appointments to include but not limited to temporary wage employees and consultants.

Approval/Authorization Section
Applicant Signature and Date
Dean/Administrative Officer Signature and Date

Once the form is completed it can then be faxed to the ISAS Help Desk along with a copy of the applicant’s Howard University ID or a memo from the Dean/Administrative Officer verifying the employment of the applicant. If you have any questions regarding this form the Help Desk can assistant you.

Upon ISAS approval of your ISAS Computer Access Request Form a user name and password will be created for you. After 48 hours your username and password can be picked-up from the Help Desk. You must have a valid picture ID in order to pick up your CAC and password.
