The Routine HIV Screening Program is dedicated to screening for new cases of HIV infection and to link those patients with preliminary reactive results to follow-up confirmatory testing and care at CIDMAR or a facility of their choice. Patients who agree to participate in the screening program will learn their HIV status via an oral rapid HIV test. Through this program, persons who test preliminary reactive are given a confirmatory test and linked to care. Screening is performed in the Emergency Department, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
Walk-in screening is available Monday through Friday on the first floor of the hospital, in Room 127, from 9am until 3:30pm. Screening is also performed in the Emergency Department, Monday through Saturday from 11am until 7pm.
